Jervis Bay Cat Cottage is a purpose built cat boarding cattery that specialises exclusively in providing luxury five-star cat boarding at an affordable budget price and is entirely focused on providing the best possible cat boarding experience for both cats and owners - we care about people too!

The cattery is ultra modern, kept spotlessly clean and purpose-built from the ground up. It is also air-conditioned to provide 24-hour-a-day, all-year-round comfort.

Each cat has its own generously sized room - unless the owner requests accommodation sharing. Sharing is only allowed for same household cats.

The rooms themselves are well appointed and wonderfully themed - For that added holiday atmosphere! They come with a choice of sleeping places, a personal litter tray, lots of scratching posts, and an external window which allows for some glorious sunbathing or just plain old fascination watching the wildlife.

We are fanatically dedicated to keeping our feline guests, safe, comfortable, happy, and well on their holiday. And offer both short and long-term boarding for cats and kittens of all ages. We also can't resist including some one-on-one time, love and cuddles for each cat each day.


Located in Woollamia NSW, Jervis Bay Cat Cottage is just 2 kilometres north-northwest of Huskison (on the central shore of Jervis Bay) and 23 kilometres south-southeast of Nowra; in the Shoalhaven region on the NSW South Coast.

Woollamia is by large an unspoilt, leafy and tranquil locality and the cattery it is set on a large bush block with lots of wildlife; mainly birds and kangaroos, but for ultimate peace of mind, no dogs.


Each cat must be individually housed except in the case of same household cats

For more than one cat, a reduced rate applies if the cats are from the same household and the owner requests sharing

Please note that a surcharge of $5 applies for a stay of less than two days.


Additional Charges



It is important that all cats arrive and remain healthy. Therefore, we require conformance to the following Pet Industry Association of Australia (PIAA) requirement, which reads...

Cats... should be vaccinated, wormed and treated for external parasites (as appropriate) prior to admittance to boarding... to reduce the risk of transmission of pests, parasites and disease.


In accordance with the above, a copy of the current vaccination certificate, showing a minimum F3 vaccination level within the past twelve-months is required. If you do not have a copy, we can check with your vet as long as you provide a minimum of seven-days' notice prior to arrival. If a cat has been previously vaccinated, but not in the past twelve-months, it needs a booster shot as soon as possible and this must be completed for us, a minimum of seven-days prior to arrival.* If a cat has never been vaccinated, it initially needs two injections, a minimum of three-weeks apart and this must be completed for us, a minimum of seven-days prior to arrival.

Flea & Worm Treatment

All of our guests need to have up-to-date veterinary grade worm and flea protection. In case they have no current veterinary grade protection, they must receive treatment, a minimum of three-days prior to arrival. We use and recommend Advocate for Cats. It is a monthly all-in-one veterinary grade worm and flea treatment that is simple to apply and sold by most veterinarians and pet shops. For cats found to need immediate treatment and for long stay guests, we provide the product at our cost. If you prefer us to use your favourite veterinary grade product, please advise and if supplied or easily obtainable, we will use that. It is important to note that the majority of supermarket products do not kill adult fleas, they only prevent fleas from laying eggs and do not treat a cat's immediate environment, e.g., bedding. In addition, flea collars are not effective over a cat's entire body, so they do not meet the standard for boarding.

To secure a booking, a 25% deposit is required. You can pay a deposit by calling in or by making a deposit into our bank account.

Should you need to cancel your booking, we would appreciate as much notification as possible and will happily refund your deposit if you provide at least seven days' notice.



We provide a wide variety of wet and dry supermarket brands, however, we know that cats' tastes vary considerably, so if your cat's preference is obtainable locally, we will endeavour to stick to that. If you wish to provide your own cat food, we offer a $2 a day discount.

Personal Items

Many cats have favourite personal items like a toy, blanket or brush. If your cat has any, please consider bringing them along to help your cat settle in. It is also a good idea to label or mark them for easy identification.


Some people just cannot bear to be away from their cat for too long, so, if circumstances permit, you are most welcome to visit. Just give us a call first to arrange a time.

  • Monday-Friday: 9 am to 11 am
  • Monday-Saturday: 2 pm to 5 pm

Generally no appointment is required for pick-ups, drop-offs and pre-booking inspections during visiting hours. However, it's always best to arrange this with us first. That way, you can always be assured of of our undivided attention. Most often, pick-ups, drop-offs and pre-booking inspections can be arranged before, between and after visting hours too.
